We have worked with Achieve on several project during the past several years. Most often we as part of an external review team that analyze the alignment of state test items and state standards. Achieve uses a formalized process dependent on deep content knowledge, identification of cognitive demands related to specific items, and a clear understanding of all aspect of assessment and assessment systems. Multiple reviewers who work independently and then meet to come to consensus ensure nothing is missed or misinterpreted.
