Jeff Paulson

Jeff currently teaches at Thrasher Elementary School, a National School of Excellence and a multiple winner of the Blue Ribbon Award. He serves as a classroom teacher and literacy coach, and he collaborates with museums to create standards-based curriculum for on-site learning expeditions in the areas of science, social studies and language arts. He uses technology to design Web sites, assessment programs and instructional tools; his students learn to publish their writing through culturally relevant media such as blogs, podcasts and presentation software. Jeff previously taught at Normal Park Museum Magnet School, the top-ranked magnet school in the United States in 2005. He also provides professional development presentations that utilize his personal experience, research, group collaboration, local resources and his sense of humor in the areas of literacy, science, classroom management, standards-based assessment and cross-curricular approaches to teaching. Jeff has a master's degree in educational administration.
