![]() Donna Micheaux Donna Micheaux, a Resident Fellow of the Institute for Learning at the University of Pittsburgh, has over twenty-five years of experience in urban education. Her primary focus is literacy and leadership development. She currently conducts instructional leadership development sessions and provides on-site coaching and goal setting conferences for principals, central office directors, literacy coaches and lead teachers in the Institute’s member districts. She is also instrumental in the Institute’s literacy efforts, including developing and conducting sessions on standards-based reading and writing instruction, the New Standards Primary Literacy Standards, lesson study and Content Focused Coaching(SM). Previous roles includes classroom teacher, elementary school principal, lead consultant for Standards and Assessments for the New American Schools reform initiative and administrative assistant to the regional assistant superintendent. Additionally, she has conducted literacy audits in several school districts and served in an advisory capacity to the state’s empowerment districts. Micheaux holds a Ph. D. in Educational Administration and Policy Studies, a Supervisory Certificate for Curriculum and Instruction K–12, and Principal and Superintendent Certifications from the University of Pittsburgh. |
