Dixie Stack

With experience at the building, district, and state levels, Dixie understands the demands and interconnectedness of all parts of the education system.

She began her career in teaching as a special education teacher with a specialization in reading. She was often tapped to provide inservice, demonstration lessons, and to present at professional conferences. Her zeal and talent led to her being named as Outstanding Teacher of the Year for Maryland State.

Upon directing her attention to administration, she quickly moved from assistant principal to principal to program director to district curriculum director and, finally, to director of curriculum for the state of Maryland. At each level she has shared her skills by chairing committees, by providing leadership training and mentoring through a variety of venues, and by presenting at numerous regional and national conferences.
