Learning Effects As a subcontractor to Learning Effects, an organization focused on the use of classroom-based, performance tasks, we participated in all aspects of putting the necessary skills and materials into teachers' hands. This meant we developed and piloted tasks, supported the distribution of those tasks across large urban districts, developed supporting resource materials for teacher use, and trained hundreds of teachers to use these tasks and supporting materials with their students. Beyond creating a bank of tasks for teacher use, the project raised teacher expectations for their underachieving students and calibrated teacher expectations related to quality within and across participating districts. |
