Lynn Figurate After 8 years of teaching in Paris, CA, Lynn now serves as a literacy coach. In this role he models standards-based lessons in primary and upper elementary classrooms and designs and presents district-wide professional development events on a regular basis. During his years in the classroom Lynn continually increased the number of students in his Advanced Placement (AP) courses and noted the achievement of adequate yearly progress for every demographic subgroup he taught. He was recently spotlighted by the U.S. Department of Education for his efforts in helping all students succeed and asked to talk about collaboration and data analysis. He has supported the Department's regional and national Teacher roundtables, the Research-to-Practice Summit, and the Teacher-to-Teacher Workshops.
