Michael Killik Mr. Killik, an in-classroom teacher at the Garrett Morgan Cleveland School of Science, continues to improve the teaching of science to the middle grades by participating as the primary facilitator to a Study Group focusing on Inquiry-Based Science within the Cleveland Municipal School District (CMSD). Concurrent with these activities, Michael’s achievements and organizational involvements are as follows: Provided technical guidance for the “Videos on Demand” series for WVIZ-TV, Technology instructor at Cleveland State University, Participated in the development and installation of a “Standards-based” report card online reporting system, Current member of CMSD Teacher Desktop Committee, Member of the State of Ohio Rangefinder Proficiency Committee member, Presenter for CMSD science Subject Area Specialist Meetings, President-elect for the Cleveland Regional Council of Science Teachers (CRCST), District Director of the Science Education Council of Ohio (SECO), Member of the National Science Teacher Association (NSTA) Committee on Middle Level Science Teaching advisory board, and Authored the CMSD 6th grade science “Cashing in on Success” questions. Mr. Killik holds a Masters in Education in Curriculum Design, Certificate in Grades 1–8 Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Science in Education (Cum Laude) from Cleveland State University. He is a member of Kiwanis International and a Board member of “Wigs for Kids” charity.
