W. Stephen Wilson, Ph.D.

Steve is a Professor of Mathematics at Johns Hopkins University.  He received his Ph.D. in mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and does research in Algebraic Topology. In addition to graduate courses and courses for mathematics majors, he teaches calculus to engineering students and to pre-medical students. Steve became interested in K–12 mathematics education when his son entered school. Since that time he has done extensive reviews of standards and analysis of curriculum programs, most recently in the states of Georgia and Washington.
